Chiropractic Biophysics Technique®

Also Known as Clinical Biomechanics of Posture®

Chiropractic Biophysics®:

  1. Aligns the spine to relieve symptoms permanently.
  2. Promotes optimal nervous system health.
  3. Is a technique proven scientifically with physics and math.
  4. Applied early enough, can prevent symptoms from ever arising.
  5. The goal is to eliminate nerve interference so the body functions normally.

How It Is Done:

  1. Mirror image spinal adjustments, both manually and with a cervical adjusting instrument or with a drop table.
  2. Circular cervical extension traction.
  3. Chiro-manis table (mainly for low back pain).
  4. Specific mirror image spinal exercises.

Chiropractic Biophysics® is a technique that aligns the spine with gravity, in order to correct the spine to promote nervous system health and get rid of symptoms permanently. We do not just relieve symptoms temporarily (as aspirin may do for a headache), but correct the cause of the problem. A manipulation or a “crack” of your spine alone may provide some relief, but this kind of manipulation does not change your spinal configuration to normal. Unlike other chiropractic techniques, CBP® goes one step farther and restores optimal balance to your spine and posture, which allows for the soft tissues (muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerves, etc.) to achieve a maximal state of health.

A normal, optimal model for the human spine has been designed using math, physics, and biomechanics through the scientific method. The doctors at GetBack Chiropractic use this model as a measure to compare your progress. If you look at the spine from back to front, it should be a straight line from top to bottom. From the side view, it should have certain curves in specific places. This structural alignment of the spine provides the necessary stability to support your body and resist gravity, and still allows for optimal ranges of movement. Vertebrae out of place, known as subluxation, can cause biomechanical, chemical and neurological problems.

Your spine is the center of the nervous system. It has nerve roots coming out between every two vertebrae. These nerve roots don’t just affect your back, they affect every part of your body. If your spine is not aligned properly, the vertebrae are probably putting abnormal stress on the nerve roots, which causes them to malfunction. This nerve interference can affect many various parts of the body. This technique uses the principles of physics and math to apply forces to the spine to eliminate nerve interference permanently.

Cox Decompression Technique

The Cox Decompression Technique is a non-surgical, non-hospital, gentle, well-researched, well-referenced chiropractic spinal adjusting manipulation which treats disc herniations and sciatica. It does so while realigning and restoring ranges of motion inherent to the spine and reducing low back pain, especially in radiculopathy (extremity pain) patients, better than active exercise therapy.

Activator Methods

The Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique (AMCT) uses the latest advances in orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examinations to seek joint dysfunction in the spinal column and extremities for improved patient care. AMCT uses the Activator Adjusting Instrument to give consistent low-force, high-speed chiropractic adjustments.
